I was taught to appreciate nature as a way to escape life’s stresses. Each season brings a new canvas and the excitement of seeing the first bud of the year pop out of the snow is hard to beat.

 

I have a fascination with the process of experimenting with different materials. This has helped in the production of very tactile paintings. I enjoy that the work appears to be spontaneous but is carefully considered, almost graphic

 

I like the fact that there is no undo button, it is energetic and very exciting. You can see the pixels and bezier curves that have influenced me from my time as an artist in advertising.

 

Painting with mixed media including house paint has a contrast with nature that seems to work for me living in a city.
